Counseling for student

Age group: 11-17 years.

This is a very important stage in an individual’s life, during which one becomes more aware of his or her self and begins to build their own identity. A very common obstacle individual’s face is in the department of education. A lot of them are struggling with concentration, understanding, remembering and recalling. This often happens because they do not follow a study method best suited for them. This is also the time period when plans about careers begin to formulate in the minds of students and they begin to explore the multitude of options available for them. With the expansion and diversification of careers, it is no surprise that a majority of students find themselves confused. Most students end up choosing academic streams based on what their parents, friends and family suggest or cource them into choosing. Parents, who are also not to blame, pick careers for their children that they think will provide them with a comfortable life ahead. They are not aware of their child’s innate potentials and talents. They are also confused and fear their child will not have a comfortable and happy life happy. As a result of all this, they achieve only an average or below average marks in their examinations. Very few achieve optimum or top marks.

Relationships of students with their parents, friends and family are also affected by several factors, most prominent being misunderstandings and lack of compromise and communication. Stress, confusion and disappointment do not help in improving interpersonal relations of students.
